During the warmer months... {Liberty Mountain Resort, Carroll Valley, PA}

Now that the ski season is officially over and spring has sprung, a lot of people ask, "What's there to do at Liberty during the warmer months?" We happily respond with, "There's lots to do at (and around) Liberty all year round, even when it's warm outside!" Here's a look at what you can do at Liberty when it's not snowing...

The Liberty Hotel: Open year-round with mountainside views and a quiet atmosphere, perfect for summer getaways! More details about getaway packages, spring and summer rates, and availability here. The Liberty outdoor swimming pool: Swim mountainside at this Olympic-size swimming pool; open to all hotel guests.

Regional Golf: Complete a summer getaway with a round or two of golf! There are lots of golf courses within driving distance of Liberty - Carroll Valley golf course is actually right across the street! Check out our list of regional golf courses here.

Nearby Historic Gettysburg: No spring or summer trip to Liberty is complete without a visit to Gettysburg! Only 8 miles from our resort, Gettysburg offers tons of activities for people of all ages. Take a tour of the battlefield, visit one of many museums, check out the downtown shopping and restaurants - you won't be disappointed! Boulder Ridge Challenge Course: Great for church and corporate retreats, camp groups, family reunions and more! Strengthen teambuilding and communication, all while having fun and enjoying the great outdoors! High and low ropes elements are available for those ages 10 and over. Liberty Weddings: We offer a unique mountain setting for both indoor and outdoor weddings. Three indoor venues and two outdoor venues are available for ceremonies and receptions, all offering beautiful mountain views. We also offer catering and wedding planning services, and have a large list of preffered vendors - it's a one-stop-shop where dreams of your special day can come true!

Regional activities are also a big hit at Liberty! There are tons of festivals like the Apple Blossom Festival in Ardentsville, PA, Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival, Gettysburg Festival and Pennsylvania Lavender Festival, all within a short distance of Liberty. The Gettysburg Wine & Fruit Trail is something to note as well as the Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve and Boyds Bear Country, again, all within a short distance of our resort. Pair one of these festivals or unique places with a stay in our Liberty Hotel, and you've got yourself a summer getaway!
